Brazilian Rosewood set 18 -
$400
Back: 7.5"max. - 5"min. x 23.5" x .15" (rough, approximate, note thin spot marked on lower right)
Sides: 5"- 4.5" x 33" x .15 (rough)
Sets 15-18 are from the batch of veneer cores. You need to be a ace luthier to use this one though as this end of the core was significantly cracked. The cracks are marked in yellow on the back pieces and white on the side piece. There is a thin spot on one of the back pieces (.08"). Other than that it's a beautiful reddish set, well matched. The light colored sap wood is solid. Look closely at the detail images below and contact me if you need more information.
Set 18, a three piece back and some problems.
The sides, showing the crack
The other end of the sides, showing some damage at the edge
The worst of the back cracks.
The included matching bridge blank and headstock veneer. The bridge piece is questionable, it might work.
